S. H. Pigot, President 2003.

I would like to welcome all members to Killiney Golf Club's Centenary Year. Our club has reached another important milestone in its existence, one hundred years of golfing on the sides of Roche's Hill in the County of Dublin, with wonderful memories for many of us who have been fortunate enough to have spent some of this time as members.

Our gratitude must go to those persons who had the foresight to create our club which was founded in 1903.

Many great characters have passed through the club, adding to the enjoyment and ethos that is so much about Killiney Golf Club. These people are too numerous to name, however many of us will remember them especially at this time. We now have a state of the art clubhouse, a beautiful building so well designed for us to celebrate our Centenary Year.

Much work has also been done on the course, which may have gone unnoticed due to the building programme. We now have a true test of golf and even more improvements are planned for the future.

All that remains for me to do is to congratulate and wish our members under the guidance of our Centenary captains John and Imelda, a very joyous and happy year.
