Paul Kirwan and Brian McCarthy
KGC beat Woodbrook in the 3rd round of the Barton Cup by 3.5 to 1.5 and will play Milltown in the 4th round.
The away performance of the day goes to Brian McCarthy and James Baily, who had a fantastic win of 6/4 in Woodbrook. Paul Kirwan and Niall Tinney put up a great fight to go down 3/2. Paddy May and Ger O Connor were called in while 1up playing the 16th. Our Home pairs of Keith Bardon and Samuel Inglis hung in from being 3up to be bought back to all square, but they won their match on the 18th.
The performance of the day came from the young pair of Cian O Sullivan and Stephen Connolly winning their match 5/3. This included a stunning 6 iron from Cian on the 15th to a back right pin to 3 feet, to win their match.
