Seve Ballesteros and Joe Macvin

  

In 2006 the PGA held a dinner in London in honour of Seve Ballesteros, in recognition of his contribution to golf. Joe Macavin was a guest of the Irish PGA because of his involvement in several Irish golf tournaments. Joe was the Chief Steward at several PGA Championships, and a steward at the Seve Ballesteros Trophy in Druids Glen in 2002. On that occasion the GB & Ireland team captained by Colin Montgomerie won the contest over the Continental team captained by Seve Ballesteros.
