Following on from the famous "Miracle in Medina" when Europe defeated america in the Ryder Cup, the Killiney ladies surpassed that drama with their own wizardry in Woodbrook on Sunday when the Intermediate team overcame a much fancied Dun Laoghaire team.

The Killiney ladies showed great patience and determination to eek out this fantastic win.  Their resolve and self-confidence was a testament to the wonderful tuition over the winter from Leo and Andrew.  In particular , the lessons paid handsome dividends in the fine tuning their short game as the ladies showed great skill in chipping and putting on the speedy greens of Woodbrook. The experienced selection of caddies also played a huge part in steering this team to victory. The official score was 3-1 to Killiney with the final match being called in on the 16th with Killiney 1up .

Next match will be in Greystones on June 17th and all support welcome.
