Michael Browne (Course Superintendant) and Brendan Seaver (Course Convenor) organized for the greens to be sanded on Monday 10th November. They employed the services of DryJect who operate a special piece of equipment that aerates and injects new sand with a ceramic additive to a depth of 8 inches into the greens. This process will improve our sand profile and enhance our greens but a principle benefit is that it will reduce our reliance to Hollow Core (Pole Forking) our greens.
The equipment needs a constant supply of sand to the DryJect equipment that is hand delivered in buckets to the hopper. Michael and Brendan called in additional support from the Artisans and some of our members to complete this task.
Please see photographs of all the action.
