Following a wild, wet and windy morning on Friday , May 11th, the sun suddenly appeared in the afternoon and the cloud dissipated just in time for a great match at Edmonstown! The Junior Foursomes team, captained by Emer Kirwan, had a glorious victory against a very solid Carrickmines team. Leo's lessons proved very successful when the Killiney ladies showed no fear in the undulating greens in Edmonstown. They chipped beautifully and sank the putts! The three matches were won on the sixteenth and eighteenth greens and the Killiney ladies showed great determination and commitment. Thank you to all our supporters who turned out in their beautifully ironed blue jumpers and a special thanks to our President, Carmel and our Lady Captain Keara who came to cheer the ladies on.
Next round will be in Elm Park and the date will be confirmed soon - so come along and support our fabulous ladies in blue.
