On Sunday, 10 November, the curtain came down on the Killiney Plummers busy 2019 season, with a full house for the Christmas Hamper and Dinner.

Blessed by a break in the inclement weather, 55 hardy souls competed on a cool but lovely Autumn afternoon.

Fresh from intensive preparation in Mount Juliet, John Waldron emerged as the overall winner with a superb 22 points. Class winners were Denis Ryan (18pts) and Gavin Carpenter (19pts).

As ever, Mark Clarke served a wonderful meal, and Captain Brendan Barrett commended all on a superb season of enjoyable golf, notable victories and great camaraderie.

Plummers Captain Ronan King paid tribute to retiring committee stalwarts, Frank Fitzgerald and Peadar Nolan, and welcomed Colm Dennehy and Barry Timlin to the Committee. His final act was to announce his successor Alan Dooley as incoming Plummers Captain for 2020.

Overall, it was a fitting finale to a hugely enjoyable season for the Mighty Plummers!
