With Spring fast approaching thoughts turn again to gardening and preparations for planting for the coming year. This year we would like to take a more structured approach to the garden planting around the course with the objective of enhancing the look of Killiney GC. We envisage setting up a volunteer gardening group to oversee and implement the project.

Initially the group will identify areas of the course where renewed and fresh planting will improve the visual ambience of the course without interfering or encroaching with the playing areas. Examples would be to refresh the existing flower beds and introduce new planting in areas such as the surrounds to the pond and the practice ground.

The Club has allocated a budget for the project and I am looking for volunteers to help with the initiative. So I am appealing to all you “green fingered” members to lend a hand and help bring a dash of colour to the course.
If you are interested in participating please send me an email on kgccoursegardencommittee@gmail.com as I am keen to get this up and running in the next few weeks.
Look forward to hearing from you.
