Dalkey MOW provides a meal-on-wheels service to improve older people's nutritional status, health and quality of life and thus enables them to continue living independently in their own homes. Dalkey MOW have been offering this socially important service for over 50 years in the Dalkey-Glenageary-Killiney areas and surrounds and are currently producing up to 70 meals daily over 5 days a week.

Many generations of Killiney Golf Club members have volunteered as cooks and drivers right from our foundation and this wonderful tradition of support continues to the present day.

We are now appealing to the KGC membership for volunteer Cooks. We now need a total of 5/6 additional cooks to cover every second Monday and every second Saturday. This will involve between 2-3 hours for each operational shift. Shifts generally start between 8.00am and 9.00am depending on the day and finish between 10.00am and 11.00am.

The role involves working in a small team of 3 or 4 and there is a leader on each team who will guide new volunteers so previous culinary experience is not essential. The kitchen areas and work patterns take account of safety measures to comply with health and safety issues with regard to Covid-19.
