Fellow golfers,
Following on from our note in late June , we have been working to rearrange the calendar to ensure that we can play as many of our annual events as possible . Please see below the original schedule which has been updated. There is also an excel spreadsheet which summarizes the changes from the printed diary. There are a number of significant changes so we would ask that you take the time to read through. We are still in unusual times, but are slowly working our way back to normality. There have been a lot of changes between May and now and there will likely be more between now and December. So enjoy the golf and be thankful we are participating in a sport which is not under even more restrictions.
Mens Saturday Competitions
Mens Saturday competitions have restarted with both 9 and 18 hole lines available. There is some movement in the sponsors days and we sincerely thank those involved for their generosity in sponsoring and their flexibility over date changes. We are not expecting the tee time interval to change from 10 minutes in the near future.
Club Finals Day
We are planning on holding a Club finals day on Sunday the 20th of September. We will be endeavouring to hold as many finals as possible this day. If some superstars qualify for more than one event, if necessary, we will likely hold some on Friday 18th September.
Silver and Gold Medals
We will have three strokes events whereby Silver Medals will be awarded. The President's Cup (25th July), The O’Connell’s Prize (15th August) and the Captains Cup (4/5th September). The three round winners will then play off on Club finals day for the Gold Medal.
Presidents Cup (Silver Medal Event)
Strokes Competition on Saturday 25th July. First round of the Scratch Cup. Prize sponsored by Valerie Hand.
O’Connell’s Prize (Silver Medal Event)
Strokes Competition 15th August. Second Round of Scratch Cup.
Captains Cup (Silver Medal Event)
The Captains Cup will be held over two days Friday 4th and Saturday 5th of September. There will be no qualifying. Format will be singles strokes. You may either play on Friday or Saturday but not both. You must have played in 2 singles competitions prior to Monday 31st August to participate. The course will be set up exactly the same for both days. The best individual score over the two days will win the Captains Cup. Prize sponsored by Brendan Seaver
Challenge Cup
This year due to light constraints in August/September the competition will be run slightly differently. It is planned to have the first two rounds on two consecutive Sundays and then two week gaps to play the qtr finals and semi final culminating with the final being played as part of the club finals day on Sunday 20th September.

Seniors Challenge Cup
Qualifying for this was held on Saturday 11th July. Top 15 scores from contestants 60 years and over plus last year's winner Brendan Pigott qualified . Glenageary Cup Foursomes

Golfer of the Year
There will be 11 qualifying events running from 11th July through to the 19th September . Your best 6 scores from the 11 events will count towards the Golfer of the Year.
Ladies Captains Prize.
As there will be no qualifying for the Mens Captains Prize this year the men's competition due to be held on Saturday 29th August will move to Sunday the 30th August. The Ladies Captains Prize which was cancelled in June will now be held as a one day event on Saturday 29th August.
Ladies Captains Prize to the Men/ Mens Captains Prize to the Ladies
We will be holding a 9 hole event on Sunday 13th September. There will be a singles competition for ladies and a singles competition for men. The time sheet will run similar to the 9 hole qualifying event with any combination allowed on each line.
Dermot O'Mahony Memorial Trophy.
This will be held on Sunday 30th August
The Greens Trophy.
This will now be held on Saturday 12th of September
The Harry Robinson Memorial Trophy
This will now be held on Saturday October 24th .
Tuesday Invitation
Tuesday invitations have returned. Next one is scheduled for Tuesday 28th July. They will run each week in August. Our August Super Tuesday has been brought forward to the 18th August and will be kindly sponsored by Phonovation. Other Super Tuesday events will be held in September and October.
Father/Son
This event will be on Sunday 4th October.
Autumn Leaves
This event will move to Sunday the 11th October
Interclub Matches
We have been drawn against Powerscourt in the Pierce Purcell . This match will take place on Sunday 26th July at 9.30am. We have received a bye from the preliminary round of the Jimmy Bruen. We are playing the winners of Delgany/Greystones . Depending on who wins the match will be held on Monday 27th July or Monday 3rd August. All support is very welcome. We will be operating the Live Scoring system on the App so if you cannot attend you will be able to follow the progress of the matches.
