As we are all aware, Peter Bennett has done an amazing job to maintain and promote the website for over 15 years. Now we are looking for a small number of volunteers to take over this work. A new Web Committee is being formed and we need two or three people to join the committee who
1. Have some time available to offer support and have an interest in maintaining the site.
2. Are “hands-on doers” who will handle and implement the basic tech support needs of the site.
There are three core responsibilities the volunteers will handle – annual updates e.g. to templates, ongoing tech support and managing and updating the photo album content. Good basic computer skills are required however this is not highly technical and support and training will be given.
It is estimated that a max of an hour per week will be sufficient from each volunteer plus one meeting per month.
In the process you will learn new skills, contribute to the running of your club and be at the hub of the club’s main communication tool.
