Date: The Qualifying Round of the Challenge Cup takes place as part of the regular weekend singles competition on Thursday May 30th/ Saturday June 1st.

Eligibility: Please note that you must have a fully developed handicap index (calculated from 20 acceptable scores) to be eligible to play in the Challenge Cup.

Qualification: The 31 best stableford scores along with the holder (Richard Temperley) qualify to play in this competition.

Format: 18 holes singles matchplay with each match played to a finish. If players are tied after 18 holes, the match continues until either player wins a hole.

Course: Mens Blue course – play from the plates.

Handicap: Course handicap is your playing handicap for this competition. Full handicap difference applies with the lower handicap player going to scratch and the other player receiving the full difference in strokes per the indices on the Men’s Matchplay card. Full Matchplay handicap allowance continues over the extra holes.

Draw: The draw will be published on Sunday June 2nd. The first round of Matchplay will be held on Sunday morning, June 9th, starting at 9.00am.  Round Two takes place on the evening of Monday June 10th, Round Three on the evening of Wednesday June 12th, the Semi-Finals on the evening of Thursday June 13th and the final on Friday June 14th. The prize presentation will take place in the clubhouse immediately after the final.
