Dear Members,
As you are no doubt aware, Golf Ireland is in its transition phase to replace both the GUI and ILGU as a single governing body.
Part of this transition has involved the election of members to the new Executive. To facilitate this process each Golf Club was requested to create a Golf Ireland Liaison Committee comprising 3 men and 3 ladies who would participate in the nomination and voting processes.
Your committee nominated our own Brenda Sheehan to the Leinster Regional Executive and we are delighted to inform you that Brenda has been duly elected, no doubt in recognition of her excellent work on the ILGU board since 2017.
Brenda’s new position will take effect from Tuesday, November 17th, when it will be ratified at the inaugural Golf Ireland AGM.
We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Brenda on this fantastic achievement and to wish her all the best as she takes up this new and exciting role.
