Dear Members,
As we once again face into a prolonged lockdown , we take heart from the fact that a rolling out of a vaccine has commenced. We really hope that this is the start of the end of Covid-19 and that the next message we write will be filled with golf related updates. However at the moment the virus appears to be gathering momentum and so the clubhouse and golf course will remain closed for the immediate future. We once again would like to spare a thought and say a huge thank you to all our members who are front line workers and continue to put themselves in the firing line for the sake of others.
Whilst we are getting used to these lockdowns it is easy to lose contact at times like this, so once again we would ask that members pick up the phone and check in on their golfing friends. We have a team of volunteers who are ready and willing to help any members who require assistance at this time. If you are somebody who is compromised , isolating , cocooning or just nervous and would like some assistance with food shopping, medical supplies, dog walking etc., please reach out to us directly or contact Mags in the office and we will do our best to help where and when we can.
Remember if you need a quiet place to walk and you live within 5km of the Golf Club it is open to members to take their daily exercise there. Hopefully we will be back exercising with golf clubs in our hands sooner rather than later but in the meantime please stay safe and look out for each other.
