KILLINEY GOLF CLUB

What a wonderful week we had during the Sherry Fitzgerald Killiney Mixed Invitational Matchplay Competition last week.  It was fantastic to see two Killiney teams meeting in the Final.  Huge Congratulations to Charlie & Melanie Allen who lifted the trophy on Friday evening and to Gavin Homan & Anne-Marie Furlong who narrowly followed in second place.  There were 16 Clubs participating over the week.  To view the photographs where the sun shone, the golf was great and the course looked amazing, please CLICK HERE.

Congratulations to Our Junior Captain's who eventually got to hold their Captain's Drive-in last Sunday.  We would also like to congratulate Mikayla Power who won the Lady Captain's Prize last week and Ella Brereton  who won the Junior Captains Prize last Sunday.  To see all photographs please CLICK HERE.  

Gentlemen, please note that Captain Brendan's Seaver's 9 Hole Stableford Plate on this Friday 3rd September is open to all Ordinary / Intermediate or Veteran Male Members who cannot play in the Captain's Prize.

We wish the very best of luck to Leona Maguire, the first Irish player to represent Team Europe in the 17th Edition of the Solheim Cup which commenced yesterday (Tuesday 31st August) in Inverness Club Toledo Ohio and runs until Monday next 6th September. We will be cheering her and Team Europe on!
