Date posted: 26th July 2021
Dear Members,
We are delighted to announce that we are re-opening indoor dining with effect from 27th July 2021.
To comply with Government regulations the following procedures have been put in place for your safety.
· We will operate a one-way system in the clubhouse. Entry is via the internal dining room entrance and exit is from a single doorway in the dining room. If you are in need to access to the clubhouse via the main lobby door, please contact the bar staff and they will accommodate your request.
· Members & guests (over 18) will be required to show proof of indemnity. This will be scanned for verification purposes. A register of members who have presented this proof will be maintained in the bar.
· The Bar staff will keep a record of one person at each table to comply with Government contact racing regulations.
· A maximum of 6 persons aged 13 or over are permitted at a table. This limit of 6 does not include accompanying children aged 12 or younger.
· Members can avail of table service only and may not approach or order from the bar or other counter.
· Face coverings must be worn by members and guests at all times other than when seated at their table.
· Pre-Bookings will be required for Tuesday/Wednesday fourballs and Sunday lunch by contacting the bar. In all other incidents a record of those seated indoors will be maintained by the bar staff.
· The dress code for indoor dining is relaxed to allow for those to attend in their golf attire. However, you will be required to change out of your golf shoes.
· The bar area will not reopen at present but will be reviewed in the coming days.
· Premises must be clear of all members by 11.30pm.
· The locker rooms and showers will remain closed for the present.
We are very much looking forward to a return to indoor dining in the club and your support in complying with the above will ensure a safe and enjoyable return for us all. Outdoor dining will of course remain weather permitting!
Finally, the club have the option under new guidelines published by Golf Ireland, to return to the use of rakes in bunkers and the ability to remove the flag.
The Covid Committee and Club Captains have reviewed the published guidelines and agree that we will continue as we are at present for health and safety reasons. We will continue to review the situation regularly and notify members when this no longer pertains.
